SUNDAZE ORIGINALS

Two decades have passed, yet it's all still the same,
Familiar faces, familiar names
I walk the streets that I know so well
Every corner I pass has a story to tell
The park where me and my friends used to meet
Secretly smoking in the summer heat
First kiss, first treason, utter agony and joy
Last time that someone has called me boy
My hometown, my playground, my place of mischief
My cradle, my hideout, my source of relief
When life feels too much, and I'm feeling down,
I return to my haven, my old hometown
The church bells ring their old melodies
The graves below whisper elegies
Of friends and loved ones I once held dear
Memory`s a precious souvenir
My friends have wed, and they've built their own nests
I`m still on my own on my lonesome quest
They don’t recognize the man I became
For the choices I made no one else is to blame
I’m no longer the kid I used to be
Full of innocence and naivety
Now that I’m grown and roaming free
I’ve been hit hard by reality
Times have changed, and I've been away,
But when life's too much, I know where to stay
I return to this place when I’m feeling down
I feel at peace in my old hometown
the legend of the virtue of being strong

Swimming in deep waters — Against a stream of blackness
I try to keep my head up — Keep smiling while I fight
Swimming in deep waters — The current works against me
Cold hands are trying to pull me — Away from air and light
Thousand eyes are watching me
Witness my stupidity
And hope to see me fail and finally drown
Thousand eyes will testify
How I’m foundering by and by
Slowly sinking, slowly going down
I will never give in — Don’t you see me crying
I will keep my head up — Keep fighting while I smile
My weakness is a secret — That you shall never notice
If I ever go down — I’m going down in style
My strength is quickly waning — I see the shore before me
I struggle to keep floating — And keep my dignity
I made it to the shoreline — Once more escaped the danger
The thousand eyes have vanished — Into eternity
A reservoir of uncried tears
Is built out of my doubts and fears
It never drained, this dam did never break
Now that I’ve escaped the seas
I`m drowning in those uncried tears
I`m drowning in my inner secret lake
EDUCATED FOOL
Chorus

Been there - done that
Play it cool
travel the world
like an educated fool
Dive the valleys, climb the hills
Find the secrets, scout the thrills
You have the right, you pay the bills
This trip you booked with all the frills
Speed up, there is so much to see
Fast forward to the next degree
If you don’t hurry mightily
You will miss out with guarantee
You have to see, it can’t be missed
The next place on your bucket list
A selfie proofs that you exist
Like any traveling hedonist
Hunt the sights and scenic views
Insta shows you what to choose
There are no don`ts but many do`s
Natives, nature can’t refuse
And as you trample `cross the land
You fail to understand
You’re far from cool
You’re just an educated fool
